请问本句话中，tendency是抽象名字，代之的前面整个句子，但是后面却也是个完整的句子，
这种结构如何解释呢？
如果同位语的话，后面岂不是不可以是句子吗？

谁能来解释下，并且解释下同位语这个事情~

1. 这个句子中a tendency是什么成分？是同位语吗？
2. according to some 表示什么？ some指代的是什么？

我的理解是A tendency 是指代的前面整个现象的同位语，做补充解释，英语语法中有这种表达。
according to some 是额外信息，大概意思为据谁谁谁说。。

a tendency that………这可不可以理解为是独立主格，修饰前面的句子？如Scientists have found high levels of iridium in certain geological formations around the world, results that suggest the cataclysmic impact of a meteor millions of years ago.这里的后半句就是一个独立主格。
