翻译：没有一个关于犯罪原因的陈述解释为什么大多数人面临这样情况时没有犯罪，相反，（解释了）为什么那么多没面临（这种情况的）犯了。
attempt、specify、alleged caused这几个词直译理解不顺畅，我就解释下大概意思哈~别嫌弃

og里给的解释是，这句话将“why most of the people exposed to the alleged causes"和”why so many of those not so exposed"这两种人比较。所以为了保持比较中的平行，两部分的动词也要平行。前面的动词是”do not commit“，所以后面也跟一般现在时的。
