Schools have always offered students three types of after-school activities. But due to recent limited budgets, they can only support one kind of activities. Which one would you choose? Why?
1,Sports   2, Arts   3,Volunteering(eg.for the community)

It seems that sports, arts and volunteering activities are all essentical parts of students' lives. Doing sports helps students keep a good body shape, studying arts equips students with the ability of appreciating the beauty, and participating in the volunteering activities improves students' awareness of devotion. However, if schoos can merely support one kind of activities because of limited budgets, I think the volunteering activities should be choosen.

First of all, volunteering activities teaches students the importance of helping others, which is especially significant for teenagers nowadays who are increasingly selfish. As teens achieve good material life when they were born, having iphones, eating fancy meals and wearing new clothes, they take all of these as granted and, as a result, become less helpful. When the times come that they are asked to sacrificed for others, they do not want to give any of their own profit up. Luckily, taking part in volunteering activities, such as singing songs for the elderly linving in the nursing houses, teaching children who have difficult being access to knowledge, making candies for the disabled and so on, is a high-invest way to inform students the happiness and satification of helping others and thus make them more helpful. Therefor, there is no excuse for schools to reduce investment on the volunteering activities.

Apart from making students more helpful, volunteering activities are mutual beneficial for not only schools but also the society. It is a common phenomenon that schools compete for more and better students. Advocating volunteering activities is a potential advertisement to attract students, because it largely boosts schools' fame in the society. Take an overview of chinese situation in this case, schools having good reputations are those that tightly connect with charities, providing these communities with help. Qinghua university is an example there. It invests a lot of money on volunteering work from time to time and encourage students to take part in these activities. Many of its graduates become well-known philanthropists after their working, which in turn earns attraction for Qinghua university. Accordingly, investing money on volunteering activities is reasonable from financial aspect.

After what we have discussed above, many may still argue that sports activities and arts activities are unavoidable for students' development and thus they can not be reduced. However, they may ignore that these two types of activities can be replaced by other ways. First, almost all students are fans of at least one kind of sports, such as basketball, swimming, football and so on, and they naturally have the motive to do sports by themslves after school in order to keep fit. Moreover, art museums, exbitions and galleries are accessible for students now, so students who like arts can totally visit these places to have more insight into art. Also, it is a fact that not all students like arts activities. Therefore, reducing budgets on arts and sports activities is rational.

Since unlike arts and sports activities, volunteering activities can not be replaced in some degree, I want to reinforce my standpoint that schools are supposed to support volunteering activities when their budgets are insufficient.

整体来说,观点很棒1. 对学生自己很重要 2. 可以给学校和社会带来回报,而且事例和插入点都很好。有小小的缺陷就是拼写的错误太多,所以考试时要注意留点时间,重头检查一遍。

Volunteer work benefits not only students themselves but also schools and the whole society.)

(我觉得这段,要么简写,要么不用写。因为最开头的时候已经说过了其他两个的优点,所以这里没有必要提这么多。可以直接说因为不是所有人都喜欢体育或艺术,不能够benefit所有人,因此reduce budget是rational的)

Since unlike arts and sports activities, volunteering activities cannot be replaced in some degree, I want to reinforce my standpoint that schools are supposed to support volunteering activities when their budgets are insufficient.
