129. In an effort to reduce their inventories, Italian vintners have cut prices; their wines have been priced to sell. and they are.

这道题是不是没有全.我看了半天也不知道说的什么.price to sell是说标价卖的意思吗?但是酒做出来不就是为了卖吗?为什么要专门强调呢.还有这个they are是省略吗?答案是选C的.请大牛们帮忙看看.

In priced to sell, the price means 定价. the whole phrase priced to sell means 制定能使之畅销的价格。they do is the abbreviation of they do sell.

这里并不是考平衡结构。重点在句子的逻辑与语法意思上。

首先还是要理解句子的意思吧。and they do是指wines的确卖得非常好。不省略的话应该是and their wines do sell (well)。

所以这里并不是因为重复了前文的意思而省略，而是新的意思里面有可以省略的部分所以才省略（当然因为前文也是说的Sell）。

如果一定要认为这个省略是前面所出现过的具体内容的话，就会钻上面这样的牛角尖了。
