虽然这个题是老提了但是还有一个问题，关于由，and she得出平行前面也是人？我记得comma+and 前后表示的主语应该不同啊要不就不需要逗号了吧？求解答~~~

我的理解是A是代词she指代出了问题，prep语法笔记里讲过代词指代无法指代介词宾语。所以后半句she无法指代到Baker。

同时如果从平行来讲，D的平行更完美，主谓 vs 主谓，而A是系表 vs主谓

以下是我的理解，不知道对不对。如果有误或有补充的地方还请指正！
OG说 A ：To J B,Paris was her home. 这个地方her 多余了 , 这句话应该改写成 To J B,Paris was home.  B跟A是一样的错误。这个可以理解。就是Paris was home to J B.而不应该是：Paris was her home to J B.
C中 to be an expatriate was fashionable的语序有问题，头重脚轻，应该倒装。改成it was fashionable to be an expatriate.  好，如果倒装，这个it是做to be an expatriate的形式主语，而不指代Paris 或J B中的任何一个，如果放在Paris 或 J B后面的话就有歧义了，所以应该放在前面。故选D
E就错的很明显了  it is +adj.+to do. 句型  ， being 不对

其实如果知道考点了以后做这道题就很快了，首先AB迅速排除，E迅速排除，比较CD ，CD的差别就在于 to be an expatriate was fashionable放在long before会有头重脚轻的感觉，应该倒装。long before it was fashionable to be an expatriate 更好。
所以选D。这道题考点在倒装。不用管什么Parallel ,指代不明。

Manhattan里确实是这样讲的，但是这个规则在弱化
