The spacing of the four holes on a fragment of a bone flute excavated at a Neanderthal campsite is just what is required to play the third through sixth notes of the diatonic scale—the seven-note musical scale used in much of Western music since the Renaissance.  Musicologists therefore hypothesize that the diatonic musical scale was developed and used thousands of years before it was adopted by Western musicians.

    我觉得这是排除他因，说没有比这个更早的了。反过来说，如果有的话，就说明它不是最早的，从而削弱了。

    Musicologists的假设是Neanderthal developed and used the diatonic musical scale。diatonic musical scale 是 seven-note 的，但发掘出来的bone flute 只有4个note。所以说E是加强。

    结论是the diatonic musical scale was developed and used thousands of years before it was adopted by Western musicians.并不是一个确切的日期。所以即使发现比这还早的乐器，很有可能也是比西方音乐家的早上几千年， 不能削弱。e是对的

    我认为E不正确，diatonic musical scale 有7个notes，Neanderthal 的bone只有4个notes，E说骨头足够长，Neanderthal 却只凿了4个洞，削弱了hypothesis。


    C说明了Neanderthal用bear做的笛子，支持。


    请指正。
