The lawyer for the defense charged that she suspected the police of having illegally taped her confidential conversation with her client and then （used the information obtained to find evidence supporting） their murder charges. (Z.P.118)
A) used the information obtained to find evidence supporting
B) used such information as they obtained to find evidence supporting
C) used the information they had obtained to find evidence that would support
D) of using the information they had obtained to find evidence that would support
E) of using such information as they obtained to find evidence hat would be supportive of

xdf答案D，我觉得A更好.

D的问题：
1）虽然用of来避免了use在结构上的歧义，但 “律师指控说（她怀疑，然后，还怀疑…）” 非常awkward，意思也不通畅合理。
2）they指代the police错
3）would 虚拟语气没有根据。

A的理由：
1）“指控说她怀疑什么和什么”意思和结构上很通畅。"...and then..."用于动词之间表示动作先后远优于用于做 of介宾结构的并列。
2）used和taped距离较近，并列意思合理。used和suspected由于主语不同，在意思上无法并列，从而可以避免误解。

1, 逻辑的合理和表意的平行胜于结构的平行。which is more fundamental?
2, 集合名词在gmat中是单数。 it's a false of correctness.
3, 有道理。

2,不知道中文怎么说THE POLICE的单复数，郎文字典的例句THE POLICE HAVE CAUGHT THE MURDERER。
一般都是用作复数的

后面还有一个THEIR 证明复数没有错误

又看了一遍，觉得USED如果与TAPED并列的话USED 就是一个完成的动作了，原文并没有此意，还有THEN说明POLICE的这两个动作是先后发生的。就是说用这些偷录录音对话是一次用掉了，而在此之前一直在偷偷的录音。

A有一个致命的错误，如果这样使用use的动作发出就是she ,这是绝对错误的。动词其他的都还好说，动作的发出一定不能错！

谢谢大家的讨论。
nina指出了虚拟和指代在这道题中的可用性，提醒ing了我看题和体味意思还是要认真。
张兄动词为王的思路非常实用，但直接拿结论取非作为反对论据，我在感情上难以接受啊，呵呵。weaken还是weaken论据比较合常理一些。
