标题: 关于that核心词的指代，楼主求大牛解疑 [打印本页] 作者: 921075453 时间: 2015-9-24 11:34 标题: 关于that核心词的指代，楼主求大牛解疑 我记得SC的总结里面说过that/those都是核心词的指代的，但是我做了很多题后发现对核心词指代这个定义产生了偏差，想请教一下大牛。
下面举两个例子：
例子一：
Today's technology allows manufacturers to make small cars that are more fuel-efficient than those at any other time in production history.
这题的those是不是只是指代了cars，而没有加入small呢？
例子二：
Bihar is India's poorest state, with an annual per capita income of $111, lower than that of the most impoverished countries of the world.
来自大全177题
这里的that指代了 前面的 annual per capita income 还是仅仅是 per capita income呢，我怎么觉得连annual也一起指代了，这样的话that的指代包括了形容词？
还望大牛帮助解疑

例一中those指代small cars；
例二中that指代annual per capita income
一般而言，在Y of X或者X's Y这样的结构中，Y是核心词，其他诸如small, annual per capita之类的都是作为核心词的修饰语而一同包含在核心词中的
回到例二中，annual per capita income of $111，核心词就是annual per capita income，而并没有包括$111
