ＮＡＳＡ＇s methodical approach to the exploration of Mars has not yet answered the questions of whether biological life forms ever emerged on Mars and whether , presuming such life forms having left fossil traces to begin with ,those traces can still exist in some moist recesses of the cold and planet.

A. and whether,presuming such life forms having left fossil traces to begin with , those traces can

B. and whether ,if it is presumed that such life forms left some fossil traces to begin with , can those traces

C. and whether ,presuming such life forms left fossil traces to begin with , those traces

答案是Ａ．可是我怎么也想不通为什么用presuming such life forms having left fossil traces to begin with ．ＰＲＥＳＵＭＥ　的逻辑主语是谁？还有为什么用ＨＡＶＩＮＧ　？谢谢．

希望得到ＮＮ门的答案～！

Sorry, I do not think choice A is the correct one...That's why I asked the question..

By the way, if you want to have a thorough discussion with people here, you'd better post all the five choices...

我觉得好象哪个答案都不对: 这是个否定句, 怎么用and

1. AC的presuming的逻辑主语好象是traces, 肯定错

2. B的语序是倒装的, 没理由啊.

I think answer A is right.

resume 的主语应该是we之类的，此种情况下通常用被动语态（但是B不正确，因为left应用过去完成时并虚拟，can 倒装好像也说不过去）

用 Have left 是因为虚拟语气。

不知是否确切，期待讨论！

在这3个答案里面个人认为A最优

B的倒装没有理由

C随意去掉了情态动词

not是否定answer的，2个whether是修饰answer的宾语questions，所以用and

B不对因为can的位置不对。A，C的区别是having left与left的区别。个人认为C不好，因为left的时态，好像说这是在过去留下化石痕迹，现在没有了。A用having left表达出了化石痕迹到现在还有，与事实相符。

请讨论。

看到薰衣紫草回了这个帖子, 想必题目是值得探讨的 : )

先拿B开刀, 后面的倒装没有道理, 而且和前面的whether结构不平行, 而且if感觉是多余的;

C, and whether ,presuming such life forms left fossil traces to begin with , those traces 插入语中的left用的比较诡异, such后面应该是加名词结构, 这个left的定后表示被动, 但是感觉主动才是正确的; 另外can的省略也不对;

A的确长得也很丑, having left应该是想表达that have left的意思. 逻辑上面还算好. 但是就像薰衣紫草说的, 逻辑主语是硬伤.

总的来说, 三个要是考试碰到就猜A, 因为相对错误较少.

问个问题，ＰＲＥＳＵＭＥ的主语是谁？？？？？

ＰＲＥＳＵＭＥ作为＂假设＂讲时，不是应该加ＴＨＡＴ从句吗？这里怎么就只加了个Ｎ．（不是应该＂假设谁怎么样＂这里怎么成了＂假设谁？？？＂）

只是一个猜想, presuming在这个的用法也许和according相似, 就是不需要逻辑主语.

我觉得对付这些真题要记考点而非记题目, 说不定考点相似但是题目变化, 还是请教一下吧.

我觉得用having left的完成时态很好啊！表明的是一种状态的延续，从过去一直到现在，也正是因为从过去一直延续到现在，所以后面的动词才用can啊。

我想会不会是ＰＲＥＳＵＭＥ　ＳＴＨ，表示假设什么东西的存在？
