answer should be "E". D is not a complete sentense

After reading the sentence, I realizes that "to receive" need to parallel to "do do", only B and E quanlify, B is not a complete sentence, so E is correct

考虑到平行结构，所以选E

这个 to +n. and to +v. 也太将就了吧

做这道题还真一波三折

刚开始看这道题觉得同位语结构好, 就填好答案了

然后, 不放心往后看.... 谢天谢地....被我看到了"....and to receive.." 这么平行的结构, 赶紧选E

再看最后一遍的时候, 发现了这样的结构: Vivien Thomas struggled to a person and to receive an doctorate... 毅然决定--这是干扰选项!! 还是回去选D

再最后看答案竟然是E 真是跌眼镜
