标题: OG 一道题有疑问 求大神解答

(B) when not accompanied by corresponding increases in sales, possibly leads

疑问：是否可以将rising inventories 看成主语，后接leads ， 也就是B选项 ？ OG解答说主语是inventories，但我觉得主语是rising inventories更合适

另外 C选项的解释该如何理解呢？
OG： past tense "were" indicates a completed event, but "can lead" indicates a possibility that continues.
我觉得事态不一致是可以的，过去的事情导致了一种可能性，这没错啊

看modifor里的动词，只能是inventory做accompany的主语，所以主谓一致杀掉BD，C里面they指代有问题，剩下AE，E的用法比A好，所以说选E

请问，为什么只能是inventory做accompany的主语？ 如果去掉中间逗号里面的修饰成分的话：rising inventories can lead to production cutback. 很明显主语是rising inventories ?
