标题: AAA18集思广益中参加讨论提高自己惠及他人

A18. The following appeared in a proposal from the sheriff of Adams County.
“Last year a course in driver’s education became a requirement for graduation for all students at the Adams County High School, and the board of education purchased 10 new cars to provide students in the classes with on-the-road driving experience. Nevertheless, the number of teenage drivers involved in traffic accidents here in Adams County has increased by 200 percent this year, and officers from the sheriff’s department have cited a record high number of teenagers for violations of traffic laws. Since the high school driver’s education classes have been so ineffective in improving traffic safety, we should no longer require them and should spend our limited funds on other programs.”

不知道这里的“Adams County High School”是指的一所学校还是整个A County的所有学校呢？这里都用了大写字母是不是表示是众多学校中的一所？一个名叫“Adams County High School”的学校？

知道啦，是指的整个Adams County的所用中学，刚才没看到后面的the board of education ，这是糊涂呀！！幸亏这不是考试！

board of education 是指学校董事会，那么Adams County High School应该是指一所学校才对呀？！

1)most drivers in the incresead traffic accidents are the teenagers who are younger than the students due to graduation year,so the former ones do not attend the course in driver’s education;

2)increased traffic accidents may attibute to the unfavorably abnormal weather conditions in this year;

还想到两条: 一,即使驾校教育现在没有起到很好的效果,不代表以后(未来)也不行.可能是刚开始,教育还不成熟. 二,数据VAGUE,新加了10驾车说明什么? 也许现在学生其多无比,根本不够学生上路练习,所以.....
