(A) would gradually undermine it

(B) to be a gradual undermining of it

(C) would be a gradual undermining of ethnicity

(D) to gradually undermine ethnicity（A）

(E) gradually undermining it

我觉得选D。

以前讨论的一个结果认为D有两个错

1.ethnicity完全可以用it来指代，没有必要重复说。

2. predict sth. to do 不是个习惯表达，正常应是sth. be predicted to do。
