答案是A。我觉得没有正确答案，是不是题目有错误。

原题中"unable to back down."前面的be可以省掉吗？

B.分号后面那句没谓语

B,C "results"错了

D太clumsy

E "aren’t resulting," 还有 "; just like......"

唯一的疑问是A选项中，分号后面那句是独立的一句吗？主语不明显，“for nations”，如果是"nations"我就完全同意A了。

我同意YUKON的意见：

A中要么省略FOR；要么把分号改为逗号。这样就合理了。
