首先A是个错误选项，就谈不上什么用意了。按照OG说法这里用adj.double就不好。
不会。这里比的是数量，现在的数量是1910年的2倍。如果是produces many apples as(that) it did in 1910,这样可能会出现你所说的问题，但这里是twice as....整个作状语修饰produces。
