Hey there,
I’d love to help you out, but I need more info from you. About your jobs. About your degrees, about your UG graduate grades. About your volunteer work. Because all of this will influence your profile in the detail.

So if you write me back with more info, I’ll do what I can to help,

Best,
JF

I would recommend retaking GMAT. It's an important criteria for consulting recruiting.

I heard that there might be a minimum requirement like 700+ for top MC recruiting. Do you mind shedding some light on the test score requirement on recruiting if any? It's hard (for me) to believe that GMAT will impact your future career even after MBA. Thanks.

GMAT is definitely a factor in deciding who makes the MBB closed list, however its importance varies by firm. At BCG for example, it is a relatively minor part of the resume screening criteria (less important than the prestige of your schools and employers, your professional experience, and your leadership and communication skills). In terms of the actual score, anything below 680 is a detractor, 750 and above is a positive, and 680-740 is considered neutral.

McKinsey has a greater emphasis on high (700+) GMAT scores as well as their problem solving test (PST)

My general advice to candidates is that if you have a 700+, you have basically checked the box for the "raw horsepower" the firms are looking for and should be focusing on presenting your background well on your resume, networking effectively, and then getting ready for those (hopefully) upcoming interviews.

I should add that GMAT is completely irrelevant for those of you who want to be into general management / marketing.

I applied to a couple GM / Mkt positions back in my first year of business school and the recruiters in those industries told me they did not care about GMAT scores.

GMAT is definitely a factor in d ...

No Chinese keyboard, sorry..

This answer cited is quite accurate. GMAT only matters during the early stage of MBA consulting recruiting. A high GMAT may help you stand out and get onto the inital closed list. I don't think it has any further impact after you get the interview.

I should have elaborated on why I would recommend retaking GMAT. 1) Your target is MBB in China. You will compete with Chinese candidates whose GMAT scores on average are higher. I can't really assess the impact here. BTW if you graduated from a good undergraduate school, it will be a plus. 2)  A higher GMAT also helps in MBA application and Scholarship nomination.

It's more a personal choice. From my perspective, a 750 doesn't take much effort (especially for people without language barrier like you) and the return rate is high. A 710 definitely won't be a dealbreaker. I myself just feel uneasy play in a game from an unfavorable starting point.
