标题: 新人求定位
大家好，

小弟现在在某国际排名第一的ERP厂商做支持顾问，主要工作内容现在是做大项目中的小项目的项目管理以及一部分技术实施，工作原因需要掌握一定的财务，项目管理，供应链等知识，但是都是泛而不精，现在是两年工作经验。

本科在C9某校学的理科，但是GPA是硬伤，只有3.0. 后来在美国一所专业排名前二十但是综合排名一百左右的学校读了工程类的master，GPA 3.6. 上个月裸考了一次G，680分IR7。准备好好准备一下，下月再考一次，目标是刷到750以上。

career goal的话，因为家里有个小企业，然后老一辈的长辈年龄和知识的局限性，现在感到越来越力不从心，所以最终可能还是要回去。但是我想读完MBA，进入管理咨询积累一些管理转型的经验再回去。所以MBA之后想去MBB工作几年。

请大家帮忙分析：1. 我的背景能不能试一下M7?HBS, Wharton,大S这几家有没有希望？
2. 我打算明年申请，今年除了刷GMAT之外，还有什么地方是可以提高的？比如campus visit，套磁？

Oracle or SAP？如果是的话背景挺不错的，如果有750的G个人觉得M7有一定的成算。接下来一年建议做这么些事儿吧：

1，GT冲着750/110去
2，尽可能的通过各种方式，比如Coffee Chat、Info session、Campus visit、Reach out to current student and alumni等了解学校，找到自己的fit
3，如果第二点做得好，通常就能在AO和Current student and alumni那里建立起正资产了

多谢回复！Campus visit的时候一般都是AO接待的吗？是会有人陪着逛还是说报了名自己去逛呢？打算十月份去现在

在网上注册了学校的campus visit就会有AO和Current student来接待了

Now, I'd LOVE to help you out and get down with your profile.

The thing is I am missing detail.

I need a LOT more info from you - school name, employer name, titles, promotions, greatest achievements, volunteer work, sports, community service, religious involvement, leadership.. etc. before I can give you a real evaluation.

For the moment, you are right for concentrating on the GMAT. It’s your first major task, and anyhow with 2 years experience, as you pointed out, you don’t want to apply until 2016 anyway, so there’s not even any rush for you.

Your work experience seems pretty good and your goals too. But a lot will depend too on your family company - how big it is, how big it CAN grow, what your plan and vision is for taking it to the future.

If your GMAT is high enough, sure why not M7? Depending upon your score and the other details, it might be M7, S16 or a larger pool, but for that we will need to know more.

Besides taking the GMAT, make sure you have at least one volunteer work position this year, and yes visiting the schools is a great idea too. If you do anything impressive in the meanwhile for your family business, it will be helpful too.
