标题: please help one og question
11.Clark and Florence , a husband-and-wife medical team, worked steadily and efficiently through the night, but sipping their coffee the next morning, she noticed that he seemed disoriented.
(A) sipping their coffee the next morning, she noticed that he seemed disoriented
(B) sipping their coffee the next morning, he seemed to be disoriented, she noticed
(C) as they sipped their coffee the next morning, she noticed that he seemed disoriented
(D) as they were sipping their coffee the next morning, he seemed, she noticed, disoriented
(E) he seemed disoriented, she noticed, sipping their coffee the next morning

the answer is C, but can any NN please help explain why using the "ing" - sipping is not right?

在A、B两个选项中，用sipping的话，其逻辑主语就是she或者he,这样就造成了她（他）sipping他们的coffee，不和逻辑

sipping 的逻辑主语是they,但后面主句的主语是she,

不一致

除了以上错误, 如果不用as引导一个独立的句子, 前后两个独立的句子并列而没有连词, 就是run-on.
