    呵呵，刚看过这道题，除了用排除法外，还可以直接选啊，就是“con-
    ferred moral standing on the party”意思的改写啊，关键是要懂得CONFER（ 赋与； 使具有）的意思，我最先做的时候就不懂。

    这一题我不会选，就猜了一个D，当时是想，邀请妇女是为了在总统大选中赢得妇女的忠诚，而那时妇女还没有投票权（第一段说的），就通过让妇女影响男人的投票选择来影响大选。

    而且不知道E中的enhance对应哪一词，是transcended吗

    经查词典，该题是一个词汇题，不清楚GMAT是不是经常考这样的题，这样的题很麻烦，要词汇功底。

    解题如下：

    完整的解题句为：women who turned out at the party's rallies confered moral standing on
                the party.

    confer做不及物动词时是探讨，此处是及物动词，是授予的意思，固定搭配为confer sth. on sb.，所以此处的意思是将moral standing（道德地位）“授予”the party，即enhance了该party的moral standing。
