标题: [求助]好多商学院都提供MBA, JD的双学位?
从一些申请材料中看到有提供MBA和JD的双学位,有多少人会申请这个?是不是还要考LSAT?念的时间多长?出来前景如何?

Yes, you need to apply for both programs. That means you have to take LSAT for Law school.

Thanks for Chipmunk's timely reply. But I still want to know how long it will take one to complete these two degrees?

Here is what I found on Wharton's website. Since the power blackout in North East area, the server of schools like Columbia, Michigan are down.

The JD/MBA Program

Overview

The Law School and Wharton offer a joint program enabling students to earn the JD and MBA degrees in four years rather than the five it would take to earn the two degrees sequentially. In order to be eligible for the joint program, prospective applicants must apply and gain admission to each school separately.

The Application Process

All applicants for the joint degree program must apply separately to both Wharton and the Law School. Admissions decisions are made independently by each school. Many students apply to the two schools simultaneously. Once accepted to both schools, students may request to defer admission to either of the schools in order to enroll in the other program first. Both Wharton and the Law School generally allow students to defer admission for up to one year.

Students need not apply to the two schools simultaneously. Law students may apply to Wharton during their first or second year. Similarly, Wharton students may apply to the Law School during their first year of the MBA program.

Degree Completion Requirements

Students in the joint-degree program must meet the degree requirements of each school.

The Law School

Law students must complete a minimum of 89 credits,* 55 hours of which must be advanced credit completed in the second and third years. Students in the joint program, however, may apply twelve credits (four classes) taken at Wharton while enrolled at the Law School towards that requirement. This reduces their Law School credit requirement to 43 credits. (Prior approval from the Law School registrar is not required.) Students must also satisfy the regular public service, senior writing, and professional responsibility requirements. More detail regarding these requirements is provided in the Law School Registration Materials.

Wharton

Wharton requires a minimum of 19 course-units (cu)* for graduation. Because joint-degree students count four law school classes toward this Wharton requirement, however, they must take a minimum of only 15cu, and may take a maximum of 16.5cu (above 16.5cu, tuition surcharges apply). The first-year core curriculum comprises 11cu. In addition, all MBA students are required to fulfill the course requirements of at least one major. Five credit units, specified by the academic department, are required for the major. Wharton also allows its students to create an individualized major. Many JD/MBA students have elected this option so they are not forced to take all of their second year courses in one department. More detail regarding these requirements is provided in the MBA Resource Guide.
