标题: 请教大家OG SC里面的一道题~
90题。
The results of the company's cost-cutting measures are evident in its profits, which increased 5 percent during the first 3 months of the year after it fell over the last two years.
（红色为文中划线部分）

C.which have increased 5 percent during the first 3 months of this year after falling
D.with a 5 percent increase during the first 3 months of this year after falling
E.with a 5 percent increase during the first 3 months of this year after having fallen

我选的E，答案是C。。。
答案说WITH从句意思太不明确。。
我觉得WITH 就是说的前一句啊，这个办法在PROFITS里效果显著啊。。。而且AFTER后面不应该用完成时么，表示过去两年内已经FALLEN了。。。。

with是有固定用法的，楼下是我自己搜集和总结的with用法

不过，其中有一些points我自己也比较迷糊

17. with修饰
其一，直接跟在名词后面修饰，不加标点，简单。
其二，comma + with形式，通常是修饰主句的主语，例如：
Visitors to the park have often looked up into the leafy canopy and seen monkeys sleeping on the branches, with arms and legs hanging like socks on a clothesline.

OG13-7 The intricate structure of the compound insect eye, with its hundreds of miniature eyes called ommatidia, helps explain why scientists have assumed that it evolved independently of the vertebrate eye.

此两例中，with都是引导独立主格，都是修饰主句主语。如果试图修饰宾语（有时甚至是紧跟着宾语），则会引起歧义。例如
OG13-90 The results of the company's cost-cutting measures are evident in its profits, with a 5 percent increase during the first 3 months of this year after having fallen over the last two years. （错误）

with不能引导完整句子

云游：有做定语和状语的两种情况。其一，紧跟名词作为介宾短语，相当于形容词作定语修饰名词；其二，【,with】独立主格，同样类似于【，V-ing】做状语，可以表示原因，结果，伴随和修饰之前的动词。
但是对于【,with】能否做定语修饰名词，我也没看到明确的论断。但个人看法，with结构如果要做定语修饰名词只有两种情况：其一，不加逗号直接跟在名词之后；其二，【,with】跟在主语之是可能做定语修饰主句主语的，如果跟在宾语之后，我觉得修饰的歧义会很大！

with的两种用法的完美体现

恩我现在关于With的用法明白了，我现在有另一个问题就是AFTER 后面时态问题。

C选项：
which have increased 5 percent during the first 3 months of this year after falling
难道增长5% 不是在FALLING之后么，也就是说先FALL了然后又增长了，那怎么能增长用完成时FALLING不用呢？

恩我现在关于With的用法明白了，我现在有另一个问题就是AFTER 后面时态问题。

C选项：

难道增长5% 不是在FALLING之后么，也就是说先FALL了然后又增长了，那怎么能增长用完成时FALLING不用呢？

having done是GMAT经常出现的、10次出现9.9次是错误的修饰语
使用完成时不能想当然，正如使用with不能想当然

你可以搜一下精华帖，有关于having done的

恩这样看看好像AFTER HAVING FALLEN在GMAT中就是不正确。。

上句中 visitor have often seen monkeys sleeping on the branches, with arms and legs hanging like socks on a clothersline.
WITH一般修饰主句主语，可是这里主句主语为VISITOR，但是ARMS AND LEGS HANGING 修饰的是宾语MONKEY。。
这里怎么解释呢。。

这句话其实就是WITH 两个用法的完美体现~~大家好好琢磨一下明白了 WITH用法就差不多啦~~~
