straw man 就是假想的对手的意思。这种错误就是说作者把别人的论点理解错了。却把这个错误的假想的论点拿来进行批驳。一方面就象楼主说的可能是他夸大了对方的论点同样地也可能是别的方面的错误理解。
我看的题目比较少,暂时没有看到。你等等看有哪位NN给你找个例子。
About the e-rater
If your essay better resembles the stored"6" essays in the e-rater's database, you will get that score. That is why that is so important to read the 20 sample essays we have. The e-rater can not detect certain things, such as humour, spelling errors or grammer. It analyzes structure through using transitional phrases, paragraph changes, etc. It evaluates content through comparing your score to that of the other students. The e-rater does, however, detext spelling and grammar indirectly. If your transition phrases and logical indentifers are not properly spelled the e-rater will not detect them. Since the e-rater uses the presence of such transitional phrases as an indicator of effective writting, you are indirectly penalized if they are not spelle correctly.
Fooling the e-rater
1Make your essay highly rigid in structure. Make it look, in its organization, like other 5 and 6 essays.
2Clearly demarcate sections using phrases such as "for example", "therefore", etc..
3Use qualifiers judiciously. The e-rater will accociate careful use of qualifiers with high scorers.
4Use the exact the terminologh we do in the usual suspects section to identify logical reasoning flaws in the argument section.
5Don't use unuaual references that no other business school student would use. The e-rater uses other scorers as a template based on how well you resemble other scorers.
6Don't avoid or overuse qualifiers such as "likely", "should", etc..(link to qualifiers). Smart people use qualifiers, which means the high scorers in the e-rater's database will be filled with essays saturated with qualifiers. However, do not overuse qualifiers or it will dilute your esssay.
7your essay should be written in "american" not "english".
这个是800SCORE里的话,所以我觉得不用担心陈旧拉!
呵呵真的是在线等哦
