just received bad news. INSEAD put me on waitlist. could anyone kindly offer advice how I can change the status.

Yes, you sure can meet the July2006 intake deadline. It is only on R1 now. Get on to your application and keep doing your essays NOW!!! Don't wait or keep putting it off like I did. There are at least 6 essays to work on, So it will be time consuming. If you are efficient, you should be able to make it R2. If not, you can still catch the R3 deadline. Go for it !!!
I submitted my app on the last day of R3 2006Jan intake. I was really lucky to get admitted because of my poor time management. And you can jeopardize my scholarship application opportunity.

apply early !!!!! whatever background you are, the later you apply, the lesser seats remain available for applicants with your profile from INSEAD. For me, IT project management background, i have to compete with tons of India applicants whom are very good marketing themselves on PAPER. Drill on your essay, let it grow and mature. I have put in a lot of effort on my essays and probably that cover my poor gmat 660. good luck

唉，刚考完GMAT， 弄了个680， 不知够不够申请instead, 不想再考了，边工作边复习真是折磨人。
本人在美国硅谷，软件工程师，5年经验，目前在一大公司工作。
