First and foremost, concerning oneself only the end result without taking practical steps toward that goal would lead him or her to nowhere but despair. A good result is consisted of a well-planed process. In organizations, staffs often spend large amount of time on discussing a most efficient plan to accomplish the final goal. Because the more specific a work is, the better will it be carried out.
What is more, focusing on specific tasks, may lead people to work more systematically. A final goal is often broad, that is, it often constitutes of many sub-targets. Only by fulfilling each of the sub-targets, can workers march for the end result correctly.
Admittedly, focusing our attention completely on the specific task at hand without reference how that task is related to the end product would distract us from doing that is strategically important regarding our long-term goal, hence wasting our time and energy. Aim can guide behavior. However, is specific task that assure the final goal fulfilled.

但是第二段focus on specific tasks at hand应该不会是更systematic吧？我觉得应该是知道总体目标才会比较系统，而注意手边的事情应该是可以把细节完成的更好之类吧？
还有blueshandy成文的时候恐怕要注意一些语法和表达上的问题。
