是不是一定要说while they are？

答案C使用while raising。

willing这里是形容词,表示"乐意的". 所以如果改完整,不是while they are willing,应该是while being willing.

真是不好意思，我不明白哎。一直认为是they are willing,怎么变成了being willing了，两位能把这个willing的句子分析一下吗？

Hi,關於這個問題,我翻了一下以前上TOEFL文法的書,老師講到.

While當Adv-CL連接詞的時候有兩種意義,一種表時間,即"當...的時候",一種表對照,即兩種不同情形的對照,可翻成"然而".

而當表時間時,若主詞相同且動詞為be-Verb可同時省略,若主詞相同,動詞為一般動詞則省略主詞動詞變分詞.

但若了對照,則不管怎麼樣,主詞動詞都不能省.

現在我們來套用一下:

OG31(E)照題意應該是表對照,所以不能省,應該要完整寫出while they are willing to...

OG178,照題意表時間,即當他們在perform specific jobs的時候,又句意明確指criminals,所以要改成while performing

OG233,也表時間,所以也改成while raising

这是GMAT阅读的一句话，while是连词，但属于你说的表对照，而且是表示转折和让步，但省略they were，怎么解释呢？
