A、carefully coordinating them with her narratives,就近修饰产生逻辑混乱！

B、carefully coordinating them with her narratives，还是修饰对象有问题

本来是从属，现在变成了并列！

这个题目我是这样解题的，希望可以帮助你
（1）分词只能放在开头和结尾，绝对不可以放中间，排除前两个答案；
（2）比较c/d,没有并列从动词入手，coordinated with 从逻辑意思上来说是illustrations和her narratives组合，而不是Beatrix Potter和her narratives组合。其实这是考动词的合理发出
（3）比较c/e，e违反一个常用的句法规则－修饰全句的状语一般放在句首或句尾，但是e最严重的错误是破坏了句子逻辑意思的合理性，但是这个有时不敢让我们下决心放弃答案

该句主要在考介词的位置, 即修饰;
A. D. E 的in her book illustrations 修饰歧义, 可能是说BEATRIX 这个人, 也可能是状语.
C放在句首避免了这一问题.

B, 的VING 可能修饰前面的 ILLUSTRATIONS, 可能修饰后面人.

老张，这题答案是Ｅ，其中的differing就是现在分词在句中呀

我之所以说分词不放在句子的中间是因为如果两头都有名词结构的话，那么这个分词结构到底修饰谁？就会产生歧异，这是一条十分绝对的原则。

而你举的这个例子：

a which was determined by when the sun reached the observer's meridian and differing
b which was determined by when the sun reached the observer's meridian and which differed

e determined by when the sun reached the observer's merdian and differing

分词结构并列，但是它只能修饰前面的名词，但是后面是“to the establishment of regional times.“是一个介词短语形式，所以是可以使用的。可能我的表达不清楚，也造成了歧异。这个题目是很好的题目如果吧C答案的were改成are的话，那么我觉得答案就是C了。
