标题: 求诸位大神指导
我是国内TOP2毕业的医学PHD, 希望到米国读healthcare的MBA项目：
1.本科的GPA和研究生阶段的GPA只有3.1（有过补考科目，会不会很受影响）。
2.我目前的工作是医生，可以申请healthcare方面的MBA吗？
3.healthcare都有哪些牛校？
4.G/T都还没考，在准备。

Hi there! Always love hearing from a non-traditional applicant. And as a doctor, you are definitely non-traditional for b-school. But that's great! Or... it can be. Having a non-traditional background can really work in your favor... so long as you do it right. You WANT to be unique and to set yourself apart... but you don't want to be SO different that the adcom doesn't quite understand why you're applying for an MBA.

So if you can connect the dots smartly, and lay out a very clear connection between what you are doing now and what you WANT to do in the future (and you prove a need for an MBA to reach that goal), you can 100% get into business school. We just need to make sure you're connecting your past experience to your future goals. And we're also going to need to connect what you are doing now to business in SOME way. I know that doctors don't do a whole lot of business, but do you have leadership experience? Management experience? That's the kind of stuff the adcom will be looking for, and that may be your biggest challenge. So we'll have to dig deep into your profile and bring all of that to the surface, so we can prove to the adcom that you've got what it takes to success in business school and beyond.

It's not easy, but if you can make it all work together, you WILL be able to get in. Hope that helps!

By the way, when are you taking the GMAT? And what are you expecting to get?

1.我了解到的情况是国内医科GPA都偏低，如果班级内排名还ok的话可以写一下，不是什么大问题，先好好考G/T，特别是G考高一些。
2.有一些学校有healthcare management方向的MBA program，我能想到的是Wharton和Duke，还有可以选择读Joint degree, MBA/MPH这种，这个Yale, Haas, Darden, UCLA等等之类的学校都有，但可能要3年。
3.这个见仁见智啦，你要理解MBA进healthcare行业一般也是做做BD或者marketing之类，不像医学院学生出来做医生那样受医学院教育质量影响，一般有专门的healthcare management方向的MBA program理解成这个方向强一些应该没有什么问题。
4.lz啊，你想读MBA的话多想想职业规划，还有自己也要多做做功课啊，都是公开信息，比如linkedin上找找类似医生去读MBA的先例啊，参加下学校的宣讲会直接问问AO和校友情况啊..

Hey there,
Well you are taking a good step in the right direction. I think it’s a little too early to talk about which schools, because where you can apply will depend heavily on your G/T scores. But there are many great MBA programs which also have either a great healthcare program or great med-school. So you should have plenty of options no matter at what level you are applying. It’s also a great sector to find work in. So right now, I’d say concentrate all your energies on that GMAT!
