at least fifty percent less 表达最简洁，排除A,B,C; 在D 中，less....as 错误，less...than 才对。
A as表比较但前面没有原级形容词也没有前一个as
B less 这里是名词，1 : a smaller portion or quantity，than表比较但前面没有形容词比较级。
C 同B。that they will die 正确，但没有 of dying 简洁。
D as应该改成than
E Correct.
