I am not sure about the Accounting program there, but Purdue surely enjoys a very good reputation in the U.S.; however, how good is it would depends on which schools you are comparing with. If you post your other offers as well, probably some experts here would be able to give you more helpful opinions.

Since you have got their admission, it's totally O.K. to ask the faculty there about their placement situation in recent years.

Good luck!

do you mind sharing your background? what's your research interest?  I think  Docotoral Program @ UW seattle has better reputation. Last year, UW palced  someone at Univ of Michigan.  In addition, Seattle is more attractive than a small town in Indiana.

Congrat for the two offers!

For placement record, just ask the program's coordinating professor to give you a complete list of their recent graduates. Be sure to get the complete list instead of the list of their top graduates. You may also ask for salary estimate, but if I were you, I'd leave the question later, so that it won't mislead to the "for-the-money-sake" impression.

Also, for research output ranking, dig deep into www.businessresearch.ca, which will give you a world-wide comparison for any chosen academic area or even listed accounting journals. Personally, I'd choose Washtington for the lovely Seattle city. Anyway, both schools are second tier and you won't regret to whichever you choose.

Good Luck
