我选的D，我认为如果今年的cotton可能是由corn的虫子的影响，那要证明corn的虫子是否会对cotton的虫子产生影响
对B也有很大的疑问，我觉得B的答案只能说明 今年的灾害是不是由cotton严重的虫灾导致的， 但是不能判断和corn有没有关系

题目只涉及B虫，D选项说的是其他种类的虫子，所以排除。
不要用“corn的虫子”这个概念偷换原题概念，迷惑自己。

尽管Cotton(改造过的，简称CA)对bollworm有抗体，今年的cotton(所有的，简称C)还是遭受严重的bollworm虫害。辅助条件，去年很多corn的种植可能会导致bollworm变多。
逻辑链：C=CA+CB(没有改造过的)，C受影响可能是CA也可能是CB或者都有。因为CA不受影响，bollworm变多可能影响CB，而从影响C。看下面哪个选项和CB有关系。

B Whether plantings of cotton that does not produce the insecticide are suffering unusually extensive damage from bollworms this year (正确，CB受影响)

楼上就是分量和总量的关系，明白的。
我有个疑问：首先，这道题如果换一种更直接的结构来描述这道题会容易很多，但是GMAT为了迷惑考生，特意在短短的一段话中包括了几个概念，想以此来达到“迷惑”目的。但我觉得GMAC给自己挖坑了。
看题的描述：Plantings of cotton bioengineered...This year the plantings are being seriously damaged by bollworms.
plaintings在This year the plantings are being seriously damaged by bollworms.之前只出现了一次，就是Plantings of cotton bioengineered，之后This year the plantings are being seriously damaged by bollworms用了特制的The plantings，而不是重新描述这个plantings的性质或者明确plantings的范围，那也就是Plantings of cotton bioengineered are being seriously damaged by bollworms的意思了。如果这个意思是正确的，那么题中等于从一开始就已经明确的限定了The Plantings的范围了，也就不存在Non-bioengineered cotton plantings这个概念了或者说Non-bioengineered cotton plantings属于范围外概念。
此处算不算GMAC的失误呢？

是啊，读题的时候我也这么觉得，觉得B突然提到plantings of cotton that does not produce the insecticide不是超出argument的范围了吗。。。看了答案才发现是我理解的不对

求问 为什么可以看到could，other，there are就排除？？完全没想到可以这么快速通过几个关键词就排除。。。求解答~~！谢谢
