标题: 报告一个小OFFER，accounting Ph.D.

收到一个小OFFER，accounting Ph.D.@ Kansas U. ,因为到处都找不到这个学校的排名，不知道这个学校的PHD怎么样？请知道的XDJM说一说。


会计的专业排名就不用说了，我在商学院前100的排名中也没找到这个学校。

My application background: Accounting master degree, GPA: 3.8+ for graduate, 3.7+ for undergraduate

T 65+, GRE 22++,(i did not take GMAT), some Chinese papers published.

BTW, I am in China now. So those applicants in China should be self-confident and patient with your applicaiton. Miracle happens everyday!

U of Kansas has not bad accounting program. I guess it's a not-bad choice. I know a girl graduated from there and she was happy with her choice. Because I don't know her well, I'm sorry I can't give you more insight. But her research interest was in Tax issues.

My name is Qianyun. I have a campus interview for the PhD in Accounting program next week. Comparing with most of you, my background is not strong at all. I only got 660 on GMAT, and I am just graduating this May from my undergrad. (GPA 3.8, a U.S university, very small). The only work experience I had was 6 month at a Mid-size Corp, and 6 month at one of the Big 4. (I dont really have any full time experience). Considering all these factors, plus I am only 22 years old, I am not very confidence about getting in the PhD Program.

Don't you think 13+++ US$ for 9 months is very high??? I have no idea about it.

Qianyun, I am happy to hear that you will take a campus interview next week. In my opinion, it will be greatly helpful for your application this year. Actually, I do not know what factors really count in my application. So I don’t think my advice is “valuable”. I believe your background is very strong, comparing with that of your peers or accounting undergraduate applicants in China. So the only suggestion that I can give you is to be self-confident in your coming interview. I think you will make it.
