对整句话理解不能啊，感觉答案每个都有点问题，看了解释也不能理解这句话究竟是什么意思。
希望有人能解答一下正确答案里面一堆状语是修饰什么的？整句话翻译过来是什么意思呢？

这是个倒装句：
The Anasazi settlements at Chaco Canyon were built on a spectacular scale, with more than 75 carefully engineered structures, of up to 600 rooms each, were connected by a complex regional system of roads.

写成这样你就懂了：settlement were built with more than 75 structures
On scale of up to 600 rooms each

Something was built with sth on scale of ...

那with more than 75 carefully engineered structures是scale的？
OG上说connected by a complex regional system of roads是修饰structure的，跳过of up to....修饰structure显得非常怪异啊。。。而且中间没有任何连词
是不是可以理解成整句话的意思是
The Anasazi settlements were built on a spectacular scale of up to 600 rooms each, with more than 75 carefully engineered structures, that were connected by a complex regional system of roads.

我不明白你第一句话问的是什么意思。
这句话还原之后是：
The Anasazi settlements at Chaco Canyon were built with more than 75 carefully engineered structures on a spectacular scale of up to 600 rooms each.
这其实已经足够排除所有错误选项了。
至于究竟是structures are connected by road system还是rooms are connected by road system就不知道了，都可能。就一句话信息太少，判断不出来。Anasazi settlement咱又没去过，哪里知道。

说一下自己的理解，这几天看论坛受益匪浅，总结了一下之前大神们的总结， with 应该是修饰settlements
comma with的用法和 comma v－ing相似， apply to the subject，所以with作为插入语应该修饰主语 the Anasazi settlements

有一点说错了， comma+with 修饰 preceding clause， apply to the subject

我能加一点吗？这一句的with结构修饰前面的主谓，不能不带谓语修饰，你认为对吗？
