这题我看了很久。从句意上C的not...but...表示：不是...而是...。好象更接近题意。但对其中的occurring 和doctors having also written有又不太确定。

请指教！

occuring 表示主动和持续，phenomenon 是自己发生的，不依于外界力量，不能用 occured.

having written 的动作发出者是 doctors, 不是被动发生的，不能用过去完成时。

but also中间是不能插入其他成分的；

n+having done是绝对错误的，参见Lzm语法
