我的看法：
首先，对于A，问题不在于so as to。因为前后的逻辑主语是一致的。而且，so as to也不是说只能用在简单句中
He was an author whose works were so little known as to be almost confidential.
其次，D的问题在于没有competitive against的用法，正确的应该是competitive with/compete with(against).
