essay and recommendation letters - stop using "lovely"

PLEASE STOP using the word "lovely" in any of these documents. I see it over and over again when I help people edit their essays and letters. USUALLY when the word "lovely" appears somewhere in the essay or rec letter, it pretty much means that the entire essay was vague and pointless. Get out of this mindset completely! Noone cares if you are a lovely person. It doesn't mean anything.
