Scientists were surprised to find such a planet because planet that massive should have gravitionally slurped up gases to become a gas gaint like those of our solar system.
The discovery of Kepler-10c may boost the chances of potentially habitable worlds.

This factor provide more opportunities to detect them, but at the same time, makes the planets much eaiser be affected by the stellar wind aroused from the M-dwarf.
The finding has lead to question the viability of life on these planets.

Cohen and his team examind the influence of M-dwarfs on three planets.
Since lack of properties of the actual stars, the team chose a relatively younger dwarf star as a stand-in.
The results turned out that the the pressure would be 10-1000times stronger than that exerted on earth.
Because EV lac is relatively younger than M-dwarfs, the real preesure may be much less and the planets may still support lifes.
More search for habitability among M-dwarfs to find the potential for life throughout the Galaxy.
