# As people rely more and more on technology to solve problems, the ability of humans to think for themselves will surely deteriorate

        Technology, which can be seen anywhere in modern society, is something like a tool to help us do our job more efficiently. Someone may argue that technology deviates us from thinking by ourselves, such as losing diligence, creativity and causing procrastination. But others may refute that technology facilitates our work and lives. After weighting the evidence, technology has more beneficial effects than detrimental ones. The ability of humans to think for themselves will not deteriorate.
        People who argue that technology will surely deteriorate the ability of humans to think for themselves may point to the detrimental effects of technology that preclude humans from diligence and cause procrastination. Truly, because of technology, there is no need for us to spend hours after hours reading many books to look up for precedents for work. We can just tap some keywords and google it, which only cost several minutes. Thus, Many people don't start to work and procrastinate until the dead-line. But, such phenomenon cannot be the reason to blame technology to deteriorate our thinking abilities. Obviously, it's the procrastination, which is the human nature proved by psychologists, that deteriorate us.
        Now consider the benefits offered by technology. The invent of steam machine facilitates the industry development, frees us from the arduous human or animal driven industry to machine driven industry, which is faster and more effortless. Does steam machine deteriorate us from thinking? Of course not. Basing on the powerful steam machine, humans apply it to transportation, manufacture and science research as energy supplier, creating the steam trains, steam ships, steam fabricate machine and etc. Likewise, with the World Wide Web created by Tim Berners-Lee and development of IT, computers are connected by internet and so are humans. Thus, a wave of online software developing is emerged. Facebook, Twitter, Wechat and etc., have all become necessities in our daily lives. Therefore, technology doesn't deteriorate us but offer us much freedom and a stage to think much wider to create more powerful tools for humans.
        On the other hand, technology also brings a lot of problems which need humans to solve. Because of the increasing number of automobile, the demands for fuel have caused an over-extraction of raw oil and global warming. Likewise, most of the people are becoming more and more apathy to their surroundings because they are all staring at their smartphones,playing games,watching videos, on metro and buses or even on a dinner party. And one of the most famous social problem is the internet addiction, disturbing people's, especially children's, daily lives. All of these problems are the byproducts of technology. Thus, psychologists, socialists, chemists and physicists, as well as any citizens, are required to put much more emphasis than ever, which need deeper thoughts and creativity, to solve the problems. Therefore, problems are endless. With the development of technology, new problems emerge and old problems get chance to be thought deeper.
        In conclusion, technology doesn't deteriorate the ability of humans to think for themselves. It provides us new paths to create and think for our lives, such as the invention of Facebook, and let us to resolve new problems brought by technology.
