未来你听见了吗

我对b的理解是NB的同位语journalist 作faster than的主语，那么比较对象是两个人就是可比的。因为NB这个人必须出现还要有同位语修饰他，所以必须用of 形式，这样既满足所有格形式又满足对象可比条件。新人一点想法，欢迎拍砖

其实本来是想上来查D 为何错误，突然自己反应过来,拙见如下：
Modifier misplacement:According to the original sentence, pioneer journalist should modify Nellie Bly.  However, in answer choice D, pioneer journalist does not modify NB's exploits because of the possessive form.  This will result in misleading meaning.
但我仍然有一个问题是，D句提主干出来是否有错误呢？Included在这里修饰的是哪个？望大牛解答啊~~

我的一点点看法~

1）同位语修饰对象问题：
“A of B，同位语“ 这种结构中，同位语就近修饰A还是B？
一般来说，同位语就近修饰B，如本题中的情况
但也有修饰A OF B 整体的，也就是Manhattan中mission critical modifier的情况，如：

    An ice sheet covers 80 percent of the surface ofGreenland, an area roughly the size of Alaska.

of the surface ofGreenland为mission-critical modifier，定义了80percent，灰色部分修饰黄色整体

关键还是由context决定

2）比较的问题
我觉得这题的关键不在比较对象是否对应上
正确选项： The exploits of Nellie Bly, a pioneer journalist, included circling the globe faster than Jules Verne's fictional Phileas Fogg.
把同位语插入成分 a pioneer journalist丢掉来看句子主干
The exploits of Nellie Bly included circling the globe faster than Jules Verne's fictional Phileas Fogg.
红色是主语，粉色是谓语，蓝色是宾语
句子想说的是exploits包括什么，而后面黄色部分是作为modifier去修饰宾语的，to provide more information，所以重心不在于找比较的counterpart，把它当做一个修饰成分就好，如果非要扣的话，不妨把作为动名词的宾语 circling the globe改为宾语从句看：
The exploits of Nellie Bly included that  he circled the globe faster than Jules Verne's fictional Phileas Fogg. (因为这里 globe 和 后面的人名不会造成歧意，所以省略了助动词 did）
