The math and verbal scores range from 0 to about 52. (I know that ETS claims the scale can go as high as 60, but it has never actually gone over 52). My strongest students are those in the "40-40 Club." That means they score in the 40's in both math and verbal.

this article disregard the circumstances in chinese admitants ,especially those who have strong incentive to go to top colleges,that they all perform very well in GMAT, since GMAT is the only, or at least major criteria to distinguish them from other Chinese fellow.After all,in US college addmition board' eyes, there hardly exists any difference between those students' graduate schools, except for those students from QingHua,Beida,which I believe count such a little portion of the total number of us.
