I think LZ needs to put career goal at first priority.  Once you attend the b-school, you would soon realize, job hunting is always the first and only thing for you.  Of course, if you don't care about future job, then that's a different story.

As for banking, you also need to think about the location.  There are at least 25 Wharton Chinese MBA working in HK banking industry, vs. only 1-2 CBSer.  lease remember, it'll be very hard to land a IB job in NY office, especially when the economy is in downturn.

Chipmunk,

Thanks for remindering job hunting.

Actually, as I know from others it is very hard to get job in Wall st. Especially my background is 1 year in Media, 1 year in Dot com and 4 years in Big 4. No IB or consulting background. NYC is my dream place; however, I should face the reality.

Please don't discourage yourself so early.  Actually banking and consulting are the only two industry that don't care too much about your background.  Of course, if you have related background, that's definitely a plus, but not must.

What they want is Smart candidate with good communication skills who also is willing to work very hard.  Your Big4 W/E is good enough to help you knock those doors.

Wish you good luck in b-school.

Wharton's ranking is always higher than Columbia and it is the number 1 finance school in US. Columbia is also strong in finance but mostly because its location.

Just my 2cents.

As for the No. 1 finance school, I definitely believe it should be Chicago, although Wharton's ranking is one spot higher than that of Chicago.

Dear Cheeyong,

Thanks for reminding Chicago.

However, I prefer eastcoast... so let's focus discussion on these two schools.

I think both are really great! I just want to hear everyone's oponion.
