2年制及以上的program会有3年工签，1年制及以下的，1年工签。

加拿大的学校很少见因为overqualified 而拒绝的，尤其是国际生，因为WL很多，所以你不用担心这个，我个人当年拿来保底的是McMaster，因为这学校整体挺不错，偶尔能进全球Top100，商学院的COOP MBA好，但FT的挺一般。我当时就看中它离多伦多近，而且排名高。

还想请问一下大家，在Essay里面写到为什么选加拿大的MBA（实话讲肯定差美国一大截），我可以指明说想移民加拿大，通过MBA来继续发展在金融方面的career吗？因为不是为了移民，我早申请HBS，wharton等了。。。

Great to hear from you!
So first of all, you have a fantastic profile. Liberal Arts. Great GPA. International experience and top employers. You are good to go to top 5 Canadian schools. If you really don’t want to apply to the US, you can also look into European/Asian programs as well. It depends on what you wish.

1. I don’t think you need to apply to safety schools outside the Top 10.
2. That’s up to you. You can probably reach your goals through either, especially since you are already in Private Equity.
3. It’s fine. Just ignore it.

Other than that, the next most important thing for you to be successful will be your STORY. So make sure you have that down as well!

You have a nice profile!

Hi Jon,

Thanks for this. Your words provided me with lots of comfort here : )

On "crafting a great story", do you think I should make the point on how I want to come back/immigrate to North America/Canada, and hence the best way to continue/progress my career in finance is through an MBA program from which I can learn new skills and most important network with people/firms, etc?

Being able to jump start a decent career in finance in Canada by leveraging a local MBA platform, and hence ultimately become a permanent resident/citizen of Canada, is one of the key goals here (aside from professional development). That's why I won't be able to look at schools else where.

Just want to make sure that mentioning of immigration wouldn't raise any reg flag from Adcom's perspective.

移民可以提 他们喜欢毕业后要留在加拿大工作的人
你从侧面讲想留在加拿大 比如特别喜欢加拿大银行业 某个公司 有一些connection 等等。
你的profile加拿大所有学校随便申的啊 背景够好 adcom并不会太care你的文书（我感觉）。只推荐Rotman，Ivey，可能还有Queen's Smith？

Overall I think the general line of your story sounds good. You have to see both what is most effective while also boosting your profile the most. (So don't forget the professional aspect, which is the point). Ultimately the story is important in the detail, with the main thing being: what are your goals??
