希望各位前辈予以指导定位，本人条件如下。

希望各位过来人不吝赐教。我这种水平一般US MBA的benchmark是那些学校？？


个人情况如下
基本
今年29岁，男，日本永住身份还有3年，打算31 or 32岁申请US MBA
学历
本科上海211，信息工程专业 GPA3.0
硕士日本TOP10， Master of Information Science, Half Tuition waiver, GPA 3.5
经验
2年Engineer & Project Manager经验@日本某国营电信，
2年Technology & Management Consultant@某北美咨询公司东京分社，Primary Skill: Data Science
标准化考试成绩
个人英语日常以及工作用的很多，与英语母语者交流没有任何障碍。
标准化考试只参加过TOEIC： 955/990
TOEFL目标102+，打算2018年内拿到。
GMAT目标700+，打算2017年内拿到。

2个追加问题：
一般MBA推荐信都是需要那些身份/专业的人呢？
找中介和DIY申请，大家偏向哪个呢？

个人觉得还是G, T考出来以后再定位会更为精确

推荐信可以是比较熟悉LZ的现任顶头上司，也可以是之前公司比较熟悉您的leader, 或者由硕士期间了解您的知名教授来写，突出您的academic skills

尽量自己DIY吧，找中介也得自己紧盯着，还不如自己动手。遇到什么问题的话，可以随时上来问，大家还是挺热心的

Hey there!
Well if  you get your target scores, I think you would be good to go for Top 30 schools in the US, although keep in mind that it's better to go a bit younger. Otherwise I would for sure suggest looking into European and Asian programs, given your Japan experience, and the fact that you will be older.
Other than that I can definitely recommend you take on a consultant (which is maybe not fair, since I am one), but I really do think a consultant can give you a very clear perspective on where you stand

It helps me very much.

So it seems I need higher scores of GMAT and TOFEL to challenge Top schools.

Actually, I do have a dilemma that I need to stay more 3 years to achieve permanent residency in Japan, so that's why I could only take the MBA on 31 as my earliest age.

I have learned that It is better to focus on 3 factors of the value of MBA:
Change career, improve income and relocate to another country.
Personally, I would like to have a job in the US, such as a consulting manager specialized in the high-tech industry, which could fulfill all 3 factors above.

You are right about taking a perspective consulting, let me take it to my schedule.

Btw, are you an MBA admission consultant? If so, I must keep you in touch
