先说了8月零售额上升了百分之1的八成 （翻译无能请无视，意思明白就好，意思就是8月销售额很牛），结果呢就增强了期望 （comma Ving 这里表示结果）。

中文写到这里楼主应该明白了，因为大家都会好奇期望是个啥呢？然后expectations 后面的修饰语便是来说明expectations 的内容的

然后再看CDE，这些选项说期望是7月到9月这个季度的个人消费，so what?? 然后没了？显然是不对的啊。

句子的intended meaning 是为了要表达这个期望是7月到9月这个季度的个人消费会比1.4 percent 多两倍这个事情。那么复杂的一个句子用 expectations of...是说不清楚的
