Hi there! Thanks for reaching out...and even more for planning early for your MBA! If there's one thing I know and have seen time and time again, it is that applicants who start preparing for MBA programs early are always the most successful. ESPECIALLY at M7 programs. To answer your question, in most cases for US programs, if you studied at a school that taught in English, you do not need to have a TOEFL. But that varies by school so I think it would be best to take the TOEFL just in case. It will only help. Especially since you've been working in China since NYU. And, yes, you can apply with the GRE if you think you will do better on that than on the GMAT. Most business schools accept the GRE now. As far as which range of schools...gosh, there's no way to say that now! There's so much information I don't know! And, really, that's not the right question to be asking when you've got 2 years before you apply. What you SHOULD be asking is: "What can I do now to boost my overall profile so I can get into the best possible MBA program?" You've got time right now to boost your profile and strengthen your candidacy, so use this time wisely!
Best,
