对于D选项OG解释：解释: The final descriptor in present tense,now drawing conclusions....does not fit the opening clause, which is in present-prefect tense(have amassed a wealth)and seems to modify adulthood.
我想问一下为什么不能把 ”now drawing solid conclusions"看为“have amassed"的直接结果呢？（因为前20年积累了大量的知识所以现在得出可靠的结论啊）谢啦～～～～

首先，comma Ving 表示consequence 的时候必须是“肯定的、无法避免” 的结果； 20年的只是的知识的累积并不一定就能够得到draw the conclusion （援引Ron 的解释）

其次，如果硬要说是结果的话，D选项的句意的重心也和原来的句意不同。Intended meaning 是要强调 are drawing conclusion 这个部分所以将 having aamassed... 用modifier 的形式来表达以示主次之分。而D选项却将主次换了个位置

二楼解释很棒！说点我的想法。这道题目考的并不是简单的语法，而是逻辑。

如果（1）和（2）标注如下，那么（1）和（2）是否同时发生（simutaneously or sequentially)？如果同时发生，（1）和（2）有没有因果联系（或先后关系）？

A. Neuroscientists, (1) having amassed a wealth of knowledge ..., (2) are now drawing solidconclusions...

D. (1) Neuroscientistshave amassed a wealth of knowledge ..., (2) now drawing solid conclusions ...

选项A，（1）和（2）可以同时发生，因为having amassed是present-perfect verb tense，已成事实。在神经科学家们做结论时，他们确实掌握了一些知识，意味着二者可同时发生。这些知识是他们做结论的原因。

选项D，（1）和（2）搭配没有语法错误，但有逻辑错误，（1）发生在过去，已经完成，而conclusion是现在（now）才得出，有了now这个词，（2）就不是紧随（1）其后，用comma verb-ing这个modifier修饰main clause意思不对。如果是修饰adulthood，显然也不是原句的intended meaning。
