Competing in Business

Yoko:  We used to be the  only game in town. Now  we have three  competitors and they  are luring away our  customers.

Cedric:  I know.  We need to  do something before we  go under.  What  about  price matching?

Yoko:  Our prices are already  competitive.  If we  want to focus on price, we’ll  need to undercut our  competitors.

Cedric:  Slashing  prices would be really  hard on our profit  margin, but  these are desperate  times.  What do you think  of a two-for-one deal?   We could offer it for a  limited time.

Yoko:  We can do that if  lowering our prices doesn’t  work.  I’m thinking we could go  in  another direction.  What do  you think about offering  freebies or gifts  with  purchase?

Cedric:  I think that’s a good  idea.  The more frills we include the better our  services look.  What kind of  frills?

Yoko:  I’m not sure, but the  more bells and  whistles the better.   

Cedric:  And if all of this  doesn’t work?

Yoko:  Then we’ll be up  the creek without a  paddle!

the man is tired of his work and soon talk with his friends ,after they want to raise eggs and then they succeed

Chinese consumer Law imitates the EU' style,but there are serious concerns about whether it is  applicable to China because of so many differences between the two.
Chinese companies have many flexible ways to deal with consumers ' angry and now consumers often use weibo to spread the trouble rather than use consumer laws to protect themselves.
---a phenomenon that means in China, laws are not the mainstream tools to solve problems.

President Kenney helped to establish the protection on customers who are the most important but negligible group.

China has done very well on customer protection. On 3 15 every year, media and television gala will broadcast the events happening that day and many companies will also be ashamed about that.

A new customer law, which will protect the rights of customers more strictly in order to boost the consumption and prevent corruption,  comes into force this weekend. This law will allow consumers to return their goods if they are not satisfied but also give too much pressure to corporation, especially multinational corporations.
The new law has some problems: First, in China, people can not just assemble to sue the state firms but has to pass through officials. It is hard. Second, it also threatens the foreign companies because they can not deal with it flexibly. So they are not ready.
