她隔了两天回复到：
I will be selecting one or two new students to begin in Fall 2014.
The work will involve laboratory experiments to describe sediment transport in the presence of vegetation.
I will not have any positions that involve numerical modeling.
然后后来我又发了一邮件说我在流体力学上建立模型和分析的能力和想法，比较想跟她做研究。
她第二天早晨又回复说：
Thanks for adding some more detail about your interests.
I will be happy to consider your application.
If you do decide to apply to MIT, then please include in your research statement that you are interested in my research. This will ensure that your application is sent first to me.
