标题: compared to/with的逻辑主语问题
没搜到关于compared to/with的逻辑主语总结的帖子，所以想让NN确认一下对不对~~
compared to/with放在句首时，逻辑主语是主句主语；
compared to/with放在句末时：如果比较的是数字，可以比较前面句子中任何位置的数量，不要求紧邻；
不知道总结的对不对？
另外我想问一下，如果放在句末比较的不是数字：A do sth, compared to/with B这个结构对吗？这里的compared to/with优先修饰A？如果中间没有逗号是不是就优先修饰sth?

关于compared with，它在句末我没有疑问，因为可以比较任意位置的数字，而且根据你2中的解释，根据语义也可以比较宾语。但是我记得当时提这个问题的时候题目是：Compared with A...,B do....（原句实在是找不到了），这里的compared with是不是应该和其它Ved...,A do..中的ved一样，逻辑主语是B啊？

我觉得可以与其他VED 一样。

if you have a sentence that says "compared to/with" (or similar constructions, including "in comparison to", "as compared to/with", etc.), then the sentence CANNOT also use a comparison word, such as more, less, greater, prefer, better, worse, X times as much, etc.
to use "compared to/with", you just STATE statistics, without using any other comparison word.
examples:
this year's unemployment rate of 12% is three times as great compared to the rate in 1994 --> incorrect (redundant)
the correct way to write it:
this year's unemployment rate is 12%, compared to 4% in 1994
i.e., you just come out and SAY the statistics, and then give "compared to".

in fact, there is absolutely no difference whatsoever between "compare to" and "compare with". they are exactly the same.
if you have our OLD edition strategy guides -- two or three editions old, at this point (2007 edition) -- you will notice some mistaken information in those guides. at one point, we thought we had found evidence that these two idioms are used in different ways; however, upon further investigation, we have actually found no evidence to substantiate any sort of difference between the two.

我不能评价ron的解释，但我可以说你的例子不能说明GMAT可能更喜欢in contrast to/with，因为这道题不是考比较形式的好坏的，而是考句子主体结构的。这道题只有A是最正确的答案，只是因为其他选项都没有谓语。

要不然你就解释清楚你的想法. 什么会是什么意思想过吗, 说这么含糊, 没底气么?
我知道你想说应该是"sold record". 但是麻烦你先查查词典. record是可以做形容词的, 解释是破纪录的. 去年美国卖出了破纪录的出口货物. 怎么不对了? export是名词.
你的解释是啥? 你有你的意见可以表达清楚啊. 你理解的 sold record exports是什么意思?
再说了, 谁喷你了. 我表达下我的意见而已. 你不同意, 还麻烦有理有据有节的反驳一下嘛. 学术辩论, 别上火啊.

前面in contrast to正确是因为这是个介词 介词修饰后面句子
compared to是分词 就只能修饰后面的主语了
