标题: 有人尝试过写信给学校要奖学金的么？

是不是top10的学校一般奖学金很少发？

有没有人尝试过拿到了offer以后再写信给admission office为他们要奖学金的？

反正offer都给了，大不了就是要不到，会有啥损失么？总不会收回去吧？有人成功过么？

没奖学金贷款压力实在很大啊。

Yes. I tried.

Sent an update to adcoms this Monday. They said they will reconsider the scholarship decision in adcoms meeting. They will inform me about the result next week.

Not sure about my odds to get scholarship, but at least I tried.

以啥借口呢？收到其它学校更好的offer? 个人经济问题？强调个人对学校的value?

千万别提别的学校的offer。对付学校就像对付老板一样，不能威胁，只能哄的，否则只会有反效果。

后两者还不错，尤其强调最后一条。

If the scholarship is merit-base only, don't expect b-schools to sympathize with you on your poor financial condition.

You'd better have some updated information after you got the admission, so that you can request a re-evaluation. Sending a short essay to talk about your recent developments would be a good idea. Talk about something new, something that you believe will contribute to the school.

Just my 2 cents.

what exactly do you write in your email in order to request for scholarship?

如果写拿到其它渠道奖学金--和MBA无关的,比如英国政府奖学金或者基金会奖学金,但更PREFER这个学校可以不?

Top10本就是卖方市场，我们这些买方基本上说不上话。呵呵~

不行就贷款吧，以后还起来应该不会很难的。

那要是贷很多款的话, 在面对签证官的时候, 人家是不是会怀疑俺们没有足够的经济能力读完MBA啊.

我一个已经在美国读的朋友告诉我说: 千万别让签证官知道你贷款了
