我顶头上司是西北大学博士毕业，和我得关系比较好，估计会在推荐信中对我美言几句，但是由于偶是工程背景，好像不是Kellogg喜欢得类型，所以由于是否申请Kellogg

好像没有什么帮助吧!

起作用的主要是essay,推荐信就起了个辅助的作用!

as an alum from a collegial community, he can emphasize your cooperativity, which is a plus, i suppose.

Thanks for all responses. For I have no time to prepare for more than 2 universities, I have to select the two in which I may have more chances.

it's a plus, but don't count on recommendation letters too heavily.
